8月9日の今日は長崎に原爆が投下されて78年。
長崎市の平和公園の平和祈念像の裏には
作者（彫刻家の北村西望氏）の言葉が刻まれています。
そこには「右手は原爆を示し、左手は平和を、
顔は戦争犠牲者の冥福を祈る」と（平和祈念像の説明看板より）。
これが地球で最後の原爆投下となることを願い、
私は平和祈念像のモザイカルチャー・植物アートを紹介します。

Today, August 9, marks 78 years since the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.
On the back of the Peace Statue in Nagasaki Peace Park
The words of the artist (sculptor Mr. Nishimochi Kitamura) are engraved on the back of the statue.
The right hand shows the atomic bomb, and the left hand is for peace,
His face is a prayer for the repose of the souls of the victims of war” (from the signboard explaining the Peace Statue).
